History of Agency
Yelm Community Services began in 1971 by a group of community-minded citizens who had the vision of helping others.
Originally housed in the former Odd Fellows Building, the agency moved to the former United Community Methodist Church. Through the generosity of the Wolf family, the agency was able to use the former church building until 1979, when a fire destroyed the historic church building.
In 1994, the agency moved to its present facility, where it was able to expand its services to provide more programs to a growing community.
